Indiana Cyclosporiasis Cases Continue To Rise

Indiana health officials say cyclosporiasis cases continue to increase across the state. The Indiana Department of Health reports over 700 cases statewide, including more than 100 in Allen County in northeast Indiana. According to the latest update from the state health department Friday July 24, 2026, officials had reported 35 cases in St. Joseph County, and in northwest Indiana, nine in Lake County, three in Porter County, and one in LaPorte County. The illness is linked to food or water contaminated with a parasite and commonly causes diarrhea and stomach problems. Anyone experiencing symptoms is encouraged to contact a healthcare provider.
