In the Westville area, Region motorists are alerted to upcoming roadwork on State Road 2. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says State Road 2 will be reduced to one lane through mid-August 2026 between County Road 600 East in Porter County and County Road 1100 West in La Porte County starting on or after Monday, July 20, 2026, for a bridge deck overlay preventive maintenance project at Forbes Ditch. Temporary traffic signals will be installed to direct traffic. INDOT urges drivers to stay alert near crews and be prepared to wait for the temporary traffic signal.
