In Valparaiso, Silhavy Road is scheduled to be closed between U.S. 30 and Boilermaker Court for about three months beginning Monday, August 17, 2026, to allow for a roundabout project. The city says it will result in an enhanced intersection improving safety as it reduces congestion. Signs have been posted to advise motorists of the closure and detours will be marked.
